Sustainability has always been a key part of our business. Our packaging products are designed for robust industrial and commercial applications. We believe our sacks and bags should be bought for a purpose and not used wastefully. We are proud to have been supplying hessian sacks for over 65 years. This completely natural and environmentally friendly product is still one of our key products used in a wide range of industrial applications. Our re-usable kerbside recycling bags have been supplied to local authorities throughout the UK for nearly 20 years. When compared to single use polythene recycling bags they offer significant environmental advantages and have helped UK households to recycle many thousands of tonnes of product.
Our range of natural kraft sacks are compostable and our Britwrap re-usable work top covers enabled the UK’s largest DIY multiple to save 3,300 tonnes of CO2 per annum when compared to their previous single use packaging.
We have been ISO14001 accredited for over a decade and have implemented a number of initiatives designed to reduce our own environmental impact. These include a switch from solvent based inks to water based inks for our in-house printing operations.
We are working hard to minimise our environmental impact by including a percentage of recycled material in all our products. Many of our packaging products are re-usable with a low carbon foot print.
