This July, Weirbags proudly marked a huge milestone: 70 years in business. From humble beginnings on the Liverpool docks in 1955, reselling used hessian sacks, to becoming one of the UK’s leading industrial packaging suppliers, it’s been an incredible journey of growth, evolution, and staying true to our roots.

To celebrate, the whole team came together for a night to remember. We headed to Metrocola for an evening of dancing, drinks, and well-earned celebration. With live music, delicious food, and great company, it was the perfect way to toast seven decades of hard work and success. The atmosphere was full of energy and laughter as the team celebrated the legacy of Weirbags and looked ahead to what’s next.

Over the past decade, under the leadership of Martin and Oskar Ellioth, we’ve expanded into new markets with bespoke protective packaging solutions through our sister brand Britwrap. This blend of tradition and innovation has helped us stay ahead of the curve, while keeping customer service and quality at the heart of everything we do.

We wouldn’t be here without our incredible customers, some of whom have been with us for decades, and our fantastic team, many of whom have spent over 30 years with the business. We’re so grateful for your loyalty, passion and commitment.

As we celebrate this 70-year milestone, we’re more excited than ever about the future. There are some exciting projects in the pipeline, and we’re looking forward to the next chapter in the Weirbags story.
