On Friday 30th June, we said goodbye to our long serving credit controller Lilian Griffiths. The company celebrated Lilian’s 23 years of service with an office retirement party that included lots of cake, well wishes and of course a few tears.

Lilian began her journey with us in the spring of 1994 where she soon began implementing procedures which have improved the running of the accounts department tremendously. She was renowned for building excellent customer relationships and has been an invaluable asset to the company.

Aside from balancing the books, Lilian has always been a keen baker and over the years we have sampled many of her culinary delights. She plans to spend her retirement pursuing her hobby and hopes to set up a mini catering business.

Weir & Carmichael would like to say a big thank you to Lilian for all her dedication and hard work. She will be missed by many, not only as a employee, but also as friend. We wish you all the best for your retirement, Lilian, you deserve it!
