Hessian Sacks in Liverpool Wildflower Scarecrow Competition
We have been helping out a local school in their efforts to win the award for the ‘best scarecrow’ at the Liverpool Wildfire Scarecrow Competition.
We donated hessian sacks to Ashurst primary school in St Helens, which they used as the head of the scarecrow. The school's fantastic entry ‘Saturday Night Hayfever’, which is a 1970’s/flower power themed scarecrow celebrating wildflowers and nature, features recycled clothing, carrier bags and living plants.
The competition is being held by Liverpool Wildflower Centre and will open to the public on the 4th and 5th July. If you would like to go down and see the scarecrow entries for yourself they can be viewed this weekend 11am-4pm.
We wish Ashurst Primary school the best of luck in the competition
