We would like to say a massive congratulations to our sponsor team River Juniors who have just won their league in the tops cup final!

The juniors took to the stage and battled against rivals, West Kirby Panthers, in the final of the Eastham and District Wirral League. After an action packed 90 minutes the game ended up going into extra time with both teams having scored two goals, however neither team was able to steal a winning goal and the score remained at 2-2.

The teams then prepared themselves for a nail biting penalty shootout, however River Juniors rose to the top again and pipped the West Kirby Panters to the post with a victorious 9-8 win on penalties!

The under 8's were extremely pleased with their win and Weir & Carmichael are very proud of their acheivements this season and hope to see them flying high next season too.
