    Hessian Sacks in Liverpool Wildflower Scarecrow Competition
    We have been helping out a local school in their efforts to win the award for the ‘best scarecrow’ at the Liverpool Wildfire Scarecrow Competition. We donated hessian sacks to Ashurst primary school in St Helens, which they used as the head of the scarecrow. The school's fantastic entry ‘Saturday Night Hayfever’, which is a 1970’s/flower power themed scarecrow celebrating wildflowers and nature, features recycled clothing, carrier bags and living plants.     The UK's top agricultural event, Cereals Exhibition took place on 10-11th June and we were there presenting our range of products suitable for the agricultural industries.     Sales Coordinator Runs Liverpool Half Marathon for Charity
    Sales co-ordinator Cassandra O'Prey has completed the Liverpool Half marathon on the 29th March for the third year in a row. Cassie was raising money for the Prevention of Young Suicide (PAPYRUS) charity, sponsored by Weir & Carmichael in the Community. She managed to raise a whopping £1200, the highest figure ever raised by Cassie and any Weir & Carmichael fundraising activity. It was also a personal best running time for Cassie, completing the race in 1 hour 45, despite heavy rain and wind throughout the whole course. Continue reading →
