    Weir & Carmichael Provide Sandbags for Recent Flooding in York
    Weir & Carmichael came to the rescue of local communities within the UK by providing emergency sandbags for the recent flooding over the Christmas period. This severe flooding on Boxing Day prompted widespread evacuations in many areas of the North of England. Four 40ft lorry loads of filled sandbags were ordered by the Environment Agency intended for use in emergency flooding in the City of York to minimise the impact that these severe floods would have on the local communities.
